What is the Legacy Shrewsbury Summer Series?
The Inaugural Legacy Shrewsbury Summer Series is a professionally organised, elite-level competition. It brings together top clubs from the UK and Europe to compete in a high-performance, competitive and elite development-focused environment.
Who can enter?
Entry is open to professional, and academy-level clubs affiliated with their national association.
What age groups are included?
For 2026, the competition will feature U14 and U15 Academy clubs.
When and where is the tournament held?
The 2026 edition takes place in Shrewsbury School, England. Set on the banks of the river Severn, Shrewsbury school is a prestigious independent school with exceptional sports facilities and pitches. Venue and hotel details will be confirmed upon registration.
What’s the competition format?
Teams will compete in group stages followed by knockout rounds, guaranteeing several high-quality fixtures over three days.
How many matches will each team play?
Each team will play a minimum of four matches, with additional fixtures depending on progression. There will also be opportunities for training, recovery and meetings included.

What’s included in the entry fee?
We believe in transparency. The £270pp Fee is all inclusive. Tournament participation, Match officials, Accommodation, Meals, Meeting spaces and more…there is no need for further transport once on site. Clubs arrange their own travel to the Tournament and the rest is included. The one exception to this is pool use which is £110 per team/per hour (As the venue will need to provide a lifeguard).
Do you accept international teams?
Yes — Legacy aim to welcome the best clubs from around the world, ensuring the highest quality Tournaments and competition we can.
Where will teams stay?
Teams will stay on-site in luxury dormitory style accommodation – perfect for bonding and spending time together.
Are referees FA-registered?
Yes, all referees and officials are FA-registered and qualified to minimum Level 3
Is there medical cover?
Each venue has on-site medical support, clubs agree to include a lead physio who will have access to medical facilities on site and also information regarding local hospital.
Is the tournament FA-sanctioned and insured?
Yes — all Legacy Football events are sanctioned in partnership with The FA and Shropshire FA, ensuring compliance, insurance, and referee approval.
Are there sightseeing opportunities?
Yes — teams can enjoy guided tours, local attractions, and cultural experiences during their stay. Just minutes walk from historic Shrewsbury Centre, and also the stunning grounds of the site itself.
